Speaker: Michelle Miller | Dates: Sep. 27-29 & Oct. 4-6 | Price: $115
In a world that is so unstable and riddled with questions and concerns, our hearts are tempted to despair, thinking that hope and truth is lost. The devil knows that if he can crawl in our minds and cause us to doubt, he can cripple the Kingdom work of God. Our desire here at Southland is to equip ladies with Truth from God's Word to combat the lies of the enemy. Come join us for a refreshing time away from the busyness of life, allowing God to strengthen you with His Word and with the wonderful fellowship of ladies who are seeking to live for the glory of the Lord. We look forward to you joining us!

Meet the Speaker: Michelle Miller
Michelle Miller grew up in North East Florida. She was saved at seven years of age. The first time her family visited church, Michelle heard the Gospel and trusted Jesus Christ as her Saviour. By God’s Grace her family stayed in church, and at ten years old she surrendered her life to the Lord. Michelle attended Christian school through her teen years, and went to Christian college. During these years God brought Michelle and Dean together in a unique way. Fifteen months after they met they were married. Dean and Michelle have served in ministry together for twenty-two years. In 2006, God led the Miller’s to Hattiesburg, MS, to be the Senior Pastor of Central Baptist Church. They have served there faithfully for the last twelve years. The Millers have three daughters, Deanna, Breanna, and Julianna. God has used their family to encourage believers and reach the lost through the preaching and teaching of His Word. They are used for couple’s retreats, youth camps and conferences, and men’s and ladies retreats. Michelle’s desire is to encourage ladies in the Lord. For women to understand one of the greatest gifts God has given them is to choose. Choosing to experience the love and grace of God in such a personal way that it becomes absolutely necessary to share it!
Greetings from Louisiana, friends! I trust your summer has gone well and that your preparations for Fall are well underway. I know I say it every year: where did the summer go? Speaking of Fall - our annual Ladies Retreat is just around the corner. We are anticipating an incredibly rich, blessed, nurturing, and enjoyable time with each of you here at Southland. Our prayer is that our retreats will relax and rejuvenate the body, but more importantly, will revive, restore, and re-energize the soul and spirit. We are looking forward to Michelle Miller speaking to us this year. I know her heart is stirred and ready to share what God has been teaching her through His Word. We will be having our Silent Auction again this year to raise funds for Southland Ministires. If you would like to participate in this annual shopping event, please bring items of your choosing to donate. Search those clearance aisles for the fun deals! :-) When you arrive at camp, please let the secretary know that you wish to donate your item. If you have any further questions about the auction, feel free to reach out to me. For one of our fun events this year, we need your help. If you could bring a folding lawn chair for your outside comfort, we would be very grateful and you will be able to enjoy our activity in the pleasure of your own comfy chair. :-) We are offering a retreat T-shirt for purchase again this year. Attached you will find the design and the material is Next Level Tri Blend Unisex. The colors will be a gray and green to match our woodsy theme. It is unbelievably comfortable and very modest fitting. Please contact the office with your name and size if you wish to order one. *ALL orders must be place by September 12. I am so sorry to say that there are no exceptions to this date, due to the shirt company’s policy. You may pay for the shirt upon your arrival. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out to me or our secretary, Kelly, at the office. We look forward to seeing you soon!
