Question: How long is the Summer commitment?
Answer: Staff training begins on May 23, and the last day is August 1. |
Question: I have some other prior commitments, can camp work around these?
Answer: For the most part, yes! Reach out to our recruitment team to discuss specifics. |

Question: What positions is Southland looking to fill?
Answer: Guy and Girl Counselors, Program, and Operational Staff (kitchen, waitressing, grounds, coffee shop, snack shop, maintenance, photographer, and audio assistant) |
Question: How many staff is Southland looking to hire?
Answer: We hire approximately 80 Summer Staff positions - 36 counselors and 40 operational staff. |

Question: How old do I have to be to work at camp?
Answer: We ask that you have completed at least one year of college to be a counselor and that you have graduated high school to be on our operational staff. We will occasionally hire some high schoolers. Reach out to our recruitment team for further inquiries! |
Question: What benefit is there in spending a Summer at Southland?
Answer: There is a multiplicity of benefits - growth in your walk with God, growth in your ability to counsel biblically, learning life skills and disciplines from our full-time staff, making ministry connections, and developing friendships and memories that will last a lifetime! |
